00:05
Hello, everyone. I'm Emily Campagno, along with Jessica Tarloff, Jesse Waters, Shannon Bream and Greg Gutfeld. It's five o'clock in New York City, and this is The Five.
00:22
Eighteen days until the midterms and things are shaking up on the campaign trail. Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed dropping a profanity bomb on Vice President J.D. Vance after J.D. called him out.
00:36
You deserve better than a little weasel who should shut his mouth and show a little gratitude to the country that gave him everything.
00:43
You know, it's funny, he called me, JD Vance called me a little weasel today. I'm like, no, no, no.
00:48
What you're talking about is a f***ing Wolverine. You could take your Buckeye and go shove it somewhere else.
00:55
Ohio.
00:57
Here, we might be Wildcats, we might be Spartans, we might be Wolverines, but we will never be Buckeyes.
01:07
But maybe Abdul should have saved some of that venom for his streamer in California sidekick, Hassan Piker, who is once again alienating Jewish voters, tweeting that it's wild that they are leaving the Democratic Party and giving this new interview where he defends his use of dehumanizing terms like inbred and Zionist pig against Jewish opponents.
01:31
I have a policy to be ruthless to those who are bullying others, to be ruthless to those who abide by certain ideologies that are conducting great harm.
01:44
As far as the language that I deploy that is considered dehumanizing, like inbred, it's one that I use quite commonly as a pejorative towards right-wing reactionary ideology.
02:01
Of course, not meant to be taken seriously.
02:03
And another shakeup this time at the White House. Katie Zachariah is out as press secretary just after five days on the job. Here's President Trump.
02:14
I said to Katie just two minutes ago, I said, Katie, you know, you don't have to do this if you don't want. She said, this is a lot tougher. I said, welcome to the world of Trump. She's a nice person, a great person. And she's been treated roughly. You know, I said, do you want to really live like this? I don't think they'll ever ease up.
02:34
Shannon Bream, a lot to unpack. There is. And listen, I think we all knew that is a very difficult job to step into. Are you thinking about it the way you're thinking?
02:42
No, I just hate the phrase, lots to unpack.
02:44
Oh, I'm sorry that I didn't open the show with something awesome in your eyes.
02:48
I apologize to him.
02:49
Well, I'll just say this. Caroline Levitt was a natural at that job. And so I think it is a lot of pressure for anybody to walk into. But once you become the story and you're the distraction and lawyer, attorney, bar, pastor, like the president can't right now. He needs messaging that is on point for him, for the midterms, for all of the things that they've got to move forward with. So that's really difficult. But the Democrats are giving him a lot to work with. When Hassan Piker says, I don't know why people are leaving the Democrat Party over Israel. It's just Israel. It's not that. that. I think we all know people are leaving over the warmth and comfort that some parts of the party are giving to anti-Semitism.
03:24
And when you use language like this, it's not just about leaving over a foreign policy question about Israel. It is about insulting people. And he keeps saying, I have no real political power. I'm just a Twitch streamer. Well, then the Democrats probably wish that you would stop talking because you're asking them to defend you. If you have no political power, you've shown up in a lot of ads and everywhere else this term.
03:43
Jesse, what do you make of the sort of Huffery going on by Abdul Wolverine. And I'm this.
03:50
That's fine. It's just some big 10 back and forth between these guys. I don't mind it. But you understand why Trump and J.D. are hitting these two guys, Tallarico and Abdul, with so much firepower is they're the two biggest threats. They're the youngest. They're the most radical. So they have to be taken out. And it's interesting. Tallarico in Texas, he'll take it, but he doesn't give it back to the president. Because the president's very popular in Texas. He just focuses on Paxson. Now, Abdul, he can't help himself. He just wants to smoke. And that's fine. But he's talked so much trash that if he loses, he's going to have to hang his head in shame.
04:26
I'm sure he'll bounce back and get a job at Al Jazeera.
04:30
Piker.
04:32
So what he said in bread? I don't care.
04:35
I make fun of the guy in Maine who had sex with his cousin.
04:39
He said someone was a pig.
04:42
Greg says people are pigs all the time. The guy is a talk show host. He says what he says.
04:48
I'm not going to police it. That's a Democrat thing. They're all like, oh, you use dehumanizing language. So what? Bigger fish to fry. Now, if I were a Jewish American, I would be super pro-Israel. Naturally. Because people...
05:03
have an allegiance to their tribe, no matter where they live. Just the same as Latin American people. They have an affinity towards Latin America. Just as many Americans, we kind of feel a closeness to Europe because that's where we came from. And that's fine. But we have let so many people into this country.
05:23
that now they're all of these ethnic factions and are gaining a lot of political power, and we're having to deal with that. And the traditional American nationalism is now having to placate...
05:39
a lot of non-European ethnic groups in this country, and it's something that we've never done before. And as the saying goes, you try to please everybody, you end up pleasing nobody. Rick or Gervais.
05:55
Greg.
05:57
Your thoughts.
05:58
First, I got to just talk about Piker. His suits never fit. Have you noticed that? It's a big fit.
06:03
I don't think it's on purpose.
06:04
Yeah, I'd say get a tailor, but he probably couldn't get a Jewish one, but they don't fit. So, yeah, the Jews are leaving, and I got to say, what took you so long? Why are you sticking with people who hate you? It's not like you're married. Oh.
06:18
especially after October 7th, where you were openly despised, chased, harassed, and the suffering of people were mocked. They tore down posters. You could say, yeah, it's about Israel. That's not what I saw in New York City or on any campuses. I saw a lot of Jewish students on campus, the ones who were brave enough not to cosplay as part of the pro-Hamas crusade, getting harassed, getting trapped, you know.
06:46
I would call this a come-to-Jesus moment for the Jews.
06:49
Probably not going to work.
06:51
He was ours first.
06:52
Yeah, but you don't have to come to Jesus. Just don't get in the car with Muhammad, all right? You never know where it's going to go. It takes a tremendous amount of denial to support somebody like Abdul with links to the Muslim Brotherhood if you're Jewish.
07:05
who sees Israel as the enemy, pushes rhetoric like genocide to cancel out the historical weight of the Holocaust. That's the whole point. These people call Jews Nazis. Meanwhile, who's the other guy you got? Mike Rogers. He's a 14 year congressman with a 53 percent rating from Heritage who's against tariffs. That's not even Magalite, you know, but, you know, You're going to choose from the river to the sea over a boring, harmless Republican. That doesn't make any sense. Jesse makes a good point.
07:38
Our melting pot has turned into a junk drawer.
07:42
And right now, what we're seeing is people taking advantage of it. You have candidates, activists, students arriving here and discovering an environment that fits their Islamist theme of Western oppression. It's our progressive structure of grievance. They just go right because they come here hating the West and And believing they're oppressed and they come to a country of progressives that give them the recognition and the exemption that says, yes, you're right.
08:12
We're really bad. And normally when somebody comes here, we expect wrong. grace, competence, a willingness to kind of like blend and enjoy the reasons why you came here. Instead, we're apologizing our way to destruction. And that's I mean, it kind of scares me if you look at like Abdul and you look at Piker, you look at Ilhan. You're seeing what happens when this structure of victimhood replaces the melting pot of assimilation. And I think I worry that we're going to lose this national idea.
08:49
We can't even ask people to get along without that being attack on their marginalized identity. Why don't you guys just mellow out? We're good people. It's like, how dare you? You're attacking me. It's like we're being exploited.
09:04
Just enough.
09:06
A little bit differently.
09:08
And now it's a couple of days in a row, at least of me being on the show, where Greg says, well, what do you have to lose? It's a completely normal Republican, right? Bruce Blakeman in New York, Mike Rogers in Michigan saying, oh, he's against tariffs. He was only against tariffs as of last week because his numbers were in crisis. He's voted to continue the war in Iran over and over and over again. He and Ashley Hinson doing 180s to try to save their butts going into the selection. But so what?
09:35
That's still that makes them worse than Abdul, who doesn't like Jews.
09:41
If you listen, listen, I have interviewed Abdul. I have talked to him about this. I've talked about the concern of Jewish Michiganders. We have talked about the situation in the Middle East. We have talked about the situation here and preserving Jewish safety and the Israel question. You're acting as if people go to the polls and that is the only thing that they are thinking about. And he will lose support with some Jewish voters compared to an Alyssa Slocken, for instance. But when you are asking people to support someone on the other side of this who does not care about how well they are doing economically, because Mike Rogers supports a president that has made their households pay thousands of dollars more per annum, who is not doing anything to bring down the price of gas.
10:22
He supported Joe Biden.
10:23
He supported Joe Biden. Yeah.
10:27
It was so much worse under Biden for the war in Ukraine.
10:31
What is happening? You are closing on Islamophobia. And I can tell you that that will not sit well with Jews. I can tell you that.
10:41
What did you say?
10:42
I don't get that you said that Islamophobia won't sit well with Jews. Because guess what?
10:46
We're not Islamophobic. OK, so are we Islamophobic? Am I Islamophobic? I'm saying the president. What is Islamophobia? What is Islamophobia? Well, saying calling Abdul Mohammed. It's his name. It's his middle name. Oh, it's his middle name. OK.
11:04
And why would that be? Okay, let's say you're doing that. Because that is a jihadi name. Let's say that's what you're doing. And saying he's Muslim brother. Oh, so all Muslims are terrorists?
11:13
Jessica, you're doing that.
11:14
I don't see that as jihadi.
11:16
You should apologize to the Muslims.
11:18
That is what they're trying to do.
11:20
Not all Muslims are terrorists.
11:21
Stop it. Kid Rock today.
11:23
Do not yell at me, Jessica. We're having a friendly conversation.
11:26
I had the worst travel day of my life. Just let me speak. Kid Rock this afternoon. Oh, Abdul is assimilated, but so was the Fort Hood terrorist. And so were the guys who drove the planes into the trade towers on 9-11. How is that not Islamophobic? It's just one guy. It's just one guy? Are you kidding me?
11:45
It's just one guy. He's a rock star. He's having a little fun on Fox and Friends.
11:48
Some Islamophobic fun. Oh, doesn't that sound fun too?
11:52
Being concerned about Sharia law, not Islamophobic. Abdullah Syed is from Michigan, went to Michigan, was the valedictorian. What is Islamophobic?
12:00
What Sharia law is coming out of this guy who likes Taylor Swift and wears tight black T-shirts?
12:05
Forget about that. He was asked, who's a bigger threat, Israel or Iran? He couldn't do it, Jessica.
12:11
I prefer people to judge his answer.
12:13
He couldn't do it.
12:14
Okay.
12:14
But this is what you're doing. You're trying to scare people into the idea that you're going to get Sharia laws.
12:19
You have this guy sent to Washington. How are we scaring? We're just pointing out he's got Muslim Brotherhood connections.
12:26
Who's cutting off Ukrainian access to Starlink? Is it Elon Musk or Donald Trump? People are scared about that, too.
12:33
You're moving around kind of flagrantly to different directions. We're focusing on him.
12:39
And he doesn't like you. He doesn't like your people.
12:44
And if you're OK with that, fine. I'm trying to protect you, Jessica, whether you like it or not.
12:51
I've been telling you for years I don't need your protection in an argument or on the rough streets of New York City with our Muslim mayor.
12:58
Why do you have to bring up his religion?
13:00
All right, guys, coming up. So much more to come, including this. AOC says Trump does not want women in college. We're going to need to see her work. Stay with us.
13:12
See you. See me. See me.
13:16
See you together.
13:23

Just had to finish the track.
14:01
No president's been better for women than Donald J. Trump, but some liberals are having a hard time accepting that. AOC stumping for Abdul in Michigan, claiming Trump is trying to stop women from going to college due to a Department of Education rule limiting student loan programs for low earning degrees.
14:19
What the Trump administration is doing specifically is attacking women's ability to act. What they're getting harder, what they're not going to give people student loans for, and it's nurses, it's teachers, it's social workers. They don't want women to go to college, y'all.
14:41
But as usual, the crazy commie needs a reality check. Under 47's watch, almost 90% of jobs created since Trump's re-election have gone to women.
14:53
That's not very good.
14:54
Emily, why isn't the Trump administration creating more jobs for men? Isn't that the headline?
15:02
Well, I construed the headline to be the fact that AOC is taking a real question, which is essentially how much should students be able to borrow, and substituting an accusation about what this administration thinks about women's education and what how much education a woman should get. But she totally omitted from the argument that the universities are charging the tuition for this. And the reason the tuitions are so huge is because they are overcompensating for their over obligations and their pensions and the bloated salaries of their provosts and their presidents.
15:34
So you can support women's education. And why should supporting it mean that you just accept the price that these universities ascribe to every single one? And she also is the one That's making the assumption that these certain fields are exactly the the height of the aspiration of women only and all women. I mean, the majority of my law school was women. And my mom was a chemist before she was a chemical librarian, before she was a genealogist. Like, I don't need her to tell me that nursing is the height of my career if it is great. But that's not the case for every single woman.
16:07
What is a chemical librarians?
16:09
She got a master's in library science specializing in chemistry. So so chemical libraries in, for example, pathology. So her thesis as a very cool pathology. Anyway, it was a way longer dissertation that I can't remember the whole thing, too. She was amazing. Here's my point that where was my place?
16:28
Whatever.
16:31
I think more specifically, the whole point is that like women's equality means the freedom to choose your own profession. And it's not having a politician ascribe or subscribe the which profession will define us all. And once again, her non sequiturs make us all look dumb.
16:46
as long as it's not the oldest profession. We do not want you choosing that. Trump does love women. I think he loves them too much. 90% of the jobs have gone to you guys. I think he needs to love men a little more. Not like that, but you know what I mean.
17:00
Listen, if he is trying to keep women down, he's doing a terrible job. Having a chief of staff, all of these jobs for women, cabinet secretaries, press secretaries, you know, apparently he has not gotten the memo from himself that he needs to stop employing so many women. Scott Jennings plug right there, Shannon. Yeah, maybe Scott Jennings sneaks in there. What are you doing this weekend, Scott?
17:19
We'll have to find out. But to Emily's point, this is really about reining in what colleges do, because if they think the government is always going to be a guarantor of these student loans, they don't have the incentive to rein in tuition costs or any of those kinds of things. I thought this was fascinating when I dug into this. It was like, I need to know more. And there's going to be a program where they actually are going to use IRS information from people after they graduate, track what their salaries are and see what they're earning. And if the universities can't show that these young people are actually making more money than they would have if they didn't get the degree, then it's going to scale back how much of the student loans they can give out.
17:54
So there is a performative, measurable situation here that's about the schools, not about women. And aren't we just, is it a gender stereotype to say, oh, women do these certain professions and not others? I don't know. Probably. That seems old-fashioned. There is now.
18:07
I mean, a lot of it's nursing. I mean, there was that one male nurse. What was that movie? Oh, Meet the Fockers. Meet the Fockers. Did you watch that? No, I didn't. You kind of remind me of Ben Stiller. Well, that's great.
18:18
Except you're a little shorter. Thank you so much.
18:21
I don't know. Ben Stiller's pretty short.
18:24
Before COVID ruined everything, women were basically – they were experiencing multi-decade lows in unemployment under Trump and just broader wage and household gains like nothing. And then, of course, COVID came. But my point was, Trump – was an old school feminist. He was putting women's economic empowerment over identity recognition. It was economics. It was employment, legal rights, security and material protections free from violence and discrimination.
18:59
The problem with progressive feminism, and this is where it gets to the degrees because this is mind blowing.
19:07
So progressive feminism in the last, I don't know, say 20, 30 years elevated gender identity and intersectional recognition over all this material benefit rights. And what rose to the top of importance? Men who say they were women, which is not a priority for women, men in dresses who pee next to you. It's jobs, fair competition, physical safety.
19:31
But the worst part was how many women were suckered into thinking that identity affirmation was a real thing.
19:38
It's not an occupation. It doesn't afford tangible benefits. A lot of women believe that and took majors and got into an unhealthy preoccupation with self-identity. This matters because we're talking about useless degrees. Why are they useless degrees? Because they were tied to the fallacy of identity. Gender studies, African-American studies, the social science studies. These are terrible degrees. They were not occupations. And you said, like, there's a stereotype. This is the stereotype.
20:09
This is the stereotype for so many women. They got degrees that were fed to them based on your identity. And you realize this isn't a real job. This isn't a real occupation. All I'm doing is teaching this to somebody else. It was a pyramid scheme of nonsense. We'll be right back.
20:30
So Greg says the women were committing academic suicide and Trump is saving them from themselves again, Jessica.
20:38
Don't you believe that modern day feminism has been bastardized?
20:43
No, I don't believe that. And I've gotten a degree or two that you would probably say I wouldn't be deserving of qualifying for student loans for it. I went on a history degree.
20:54
Yeah, you're right.
20:56
At least he's honest. I thought you were going to say economics because you got one in economics.
21:00
My PhD is in political economics.
21:02
I know that shocks a lot of people. It should be economics, not political economics.
21:08
There are three doctorates degrees at this table, and they're all ladies.
21:14
Oh, look at the uneducated men at the table. But none of your degrees help you. What do you mean? Of course they help me.
21:21
Political economics.
21:23
That's Marxism. Okay, if you got a degree in economics, why are you not like a billionaire? Why are you not rich?
21:30
How do we know you're not? This is an amazing job. This is an amazing job. We love having it. For everyone watching, I'm very happy with my job.
21:39
This is a great opportunity. I am doing just fine. And my degree is not useless. And it is important to, at least to some degree, be able to follow your dreams. And coming from the party of limited government, the idea that the DOE is going to put their finger on the scale and say, no, no, no, you can't pick that major. You can't do that. I thought it was about a loan. But they're not even repaying the loans. That's what's different here. If it were under an administration that actually would take on your student loan debt, that might be different.
22:06
Boo.
22:06
Understand then...
22:07
Boo.
22:08
So boo to this then.
22:09
Why would I pay for your loan?
22:12
Well, then you have to let people choose their own destiny if they are then taking it on that.
22:17
But why should taxpayers sink that money into a degree that's useless?
22:21
You don't get... Linda McMahon is not your mom. She's not my mom. How do you know?
22:27
Weird, Greg. That's just weird. You brought it up. Also, I would say that...
22:31
Talking about how many jobs Donald Trump got for women. Yes, it's 85 to 90 percent of the jobs. But talk about how dismal his jobs record is. It's like thirty nine thousand jobs on a monthly basis. So far below past Democratic administration. No, actually, you know, and by the way, of course, the whole thing.
22:50
Can I just like interject here that there's another thing that the left another thing? Yes.
22:56
Well, what do we do now?
22:58
I think it was Trump, Trump, not the Democrats who prioritize anti-trafficking and tough enforcement against groups that abused women, mostly girls like MS-13, restored biological sex definitions in Title IX. So men are not in women's sports. These are things that you guys think are silly, but apparently women feel different.
23:15
You know what we also think is important?
23:18
reproductive health care, raising the minimum wage, family leave, all of the things that make a one family.
23:23
We don't have families. This is the point of the segment. There are women with advanced degrees that are single and unhappy, and that's the cause of everyone's misery. Because when you're unhappy, we're unhappy. So you get happy, and then we'll be happy.
23:39
I am the happiest birthing person you have running for.
23:43
Coming up next, the left wants to lock Republicans up.

It's just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country. Because you'd be in jail.
24:33
Well, it's been 10 years since that moment when then candidate Trump told Hillary she would be in jail. And now Democrats are finding their inner lock them up. Florida Senate candidate Angie Nixon wants her Republican opponent behind bars. And Pennsylvania House candidate and DSA member Chris Rabb says he opposes incarceration. But when it comes to, quote, lawless MAGA thugs, apparently there's still room in the cell.
24:59
They are spreading like a lot of disinformation and lies on commercials about me saying things like I want to abolish prisons and I want to defund the police. Why would I want to do that when I want her locked up and punished in jail for what she has done?
25:15
I'm a decarceration person. I will make an exception for all of those who are lawless MAGA thugs who have destroyed lives and communities.
25:27
Lock all of those up.
25:29
I know that seems a little hypocritical of me being on the left and being anti incarceration, but lock those up.
25:37
OK, this might be a case of for the but not for me, because, Emily, I do remember the co-chair nationally of the DSA telling me that getting rid of jails was one of their long term plans.
25:47
Indeed. And I also feel that, you know, our values are not supposed to change. right? Aren't we sort of taught that fundamentally that's our moral code, that's our moral compass? So as we grow and learn and develop and discuss political theory or how the government can fund certain programs, like I thought that you're supposed to be immovable in whatever that code is. But it's interesting to me that Always like houses built on sand. These DSA and Democratic candidates just fold instantly with their morals and their values when they find out how someone votes.
26:21
I mean, black lives matter. Black women should be uplifted until it's a black woman that has voted Republican. You know, the millionaires are bad until the Pritzkers are donating to the Democratic campaign. Everything that they do is always so hypocritical. And after he talked about and clearly identified the contradiction about being for decarceration, but then like put everyone in jail, he started listing congressional powers. And it seems to me that there are so many candidates on the left that think being in Congress... It's almost like a gang. And they all of a sudden are bouncers like that's actually not any of the powers listed for Congress is putting people in jail or being the judge, jury and executioner.
26:58
It seems that there's been this sort of like fantasy created about what they can actually do and what they will do. And it all seems to focus on their, you know, their their profanity and their machoism and whatnot. We're going to get everyone. It doesn't sit well with any constituent or potential voter that is looking to them to say, well, how are you going to make my life better or preserve the agenda I voted for?
27:19
Well, and Jesse, if you're going to talk about we're tough guys and we're going to go after everyone, there's also this contrast of the left getting a lot of heat over when it comes to lenient DAs and letting people out, not letting ICE come pick them up and bad guys. I mean, there are a lot of people they don't want to see in jail.
27:34
Yeah, but you think Chris Robbie Blind and crazy Angie Nixon are the only Democrats who want to put us in prison? No. They're just the stupid ones who say it before an election. Rewind it just a couple of years ago. They tried to put Trump in prison. They arrested his lawyer, his campaign manager, his chief strategist, his advisor, his trade advisor, his CFO. They arrested his national security advisor. They arrested his inaugural chair, his top donor. They arrested everybody in his inner circle. They shot him. They shot Charlie, shot Scalise, and then they spied on everybody.
28:05
If you bought a MAGA hat, there was a dragnet. They debanked you. They canceled you. I mean, to then say that... Like, OK, this is why Trump should have got in on day one and just arrested 10 of them on the first 100 days to prove that they can't get away with that anymore. But he didn't. And now two years later, you have only two arrests, big ones. You got Omar and you got Don Lemon. It's not good enough because the second they get back in the White House, they're going to arrest us all. That's why right now I'm asking for a pardon.
28:38
And not just me. I want Greg to get one. I want the whole table to get one.
28:41
OK, thank you. Just in case.
28:43
There's their comment. And Jessica knows it.
28:45
Well, Jessica, I mean, when you have the DSA out there saying things like this and other things, I mean, how much of a potential headache is this for them, for Democrats, if they have great success on election night and now potentially Speaker Hakeem Jeffries has to wrestle with these ideas and these folks who are going to really want to make his life hell from the left?
29:05
I honestly think that this is just bluster from a couple of candidates that don't have the highest profile races right now. I mean, John Ossoff is not talking about this. They're talking about accountability. Roy Cooper, Josh Turek, James Tallarico. They're not saying that I want to throw you in jail. They're not going to be against it if it happens.
29:25
What they're not going to be against, which the American people actually would like, would be some degree of accountability. And it was really interesting in the new Fox survey that corruption in the government was the number one issue for voters and then the economy.
29:38
Maybe that's Omar's fraud in Somalia.
29:41
I actually think it's a president that has made billions of dollars. Remember how much you hated Doge?
29:47
Yeah, that's the corruption we're talking about. What? Elon Musk who fired every inspector's general that was investigating him. How much fraud have we found? Yeah.
29:56
We found so much fraud.
29:58
Not as much as Bill Clinton found in the 90s doing it like a normal human being. You mean under his desk? Big balls to go into your... Don't press merch, big balls.
30:07
I know you did more for the country than you did.
30:09
And he almost died. He took a knife to the chest, protecting a woman again. This is what we get for protecting you, Jessica.
30:17
OK, Greg, you've been in jail. Yes. What is it like? Are you worried about going back?
30:22
You know, I made a lot of good friends there. There's a certain hierarchy. I'll come in probably higher than I was when I got in for reasons I can't get into. This guy says he says Trump and his people have destroyed communities. Dude, this is a guy who is basically saying, let the thugs on the street who repeatedly attack people.
30:44
He romanticizes the carceral, the carceral inmate, whatever you call it. I hate using those words. The vocabulary these idiots use is so dense, carceral, decarceralization, structural racism. But when it comes to the practical replacement for prisons, you know, locking up people who kill and rape and rob, there are no big words for that. You know, roughly, I think half or more of the state prison population are for violent crimes. They have no solution for that.
31:15
And because they don't believe it, they don't believe it's necessary because what is the DSA believes? You don't need a prison because there will be no crime once you get rid of capitalism. When you get rid of capitalism, of course, poverty goes away. And so does inequality. And therefore, no one will be committing crime. We'll all live together, except the best part is that they will set up new banned acts, which, as he talks about, I will not incarcerate anybody except for these things. And of course, it'll be hate speech. So they'll eliminate institutions that enforce real crime.
31:49
They'll put the people in they don't like. And then you'll have violent crime anywhere. And it'll all go to hell, which is what always happens with socialism.
31:59
OK, well, on that light note, coming up next, liberal critics could not stop him. Elon Musk apparently just made a car fly.

32:39
You and I got lost in it and we pretended it could last forever. It was.
32:48
Oh, we grew up dreaming of flying cars, and now it looks like Elon Musk is making it a reality. The Tesla CEO unveiling the new Roadster at a SpaceX event in Texas. And despite the name, this car doesn't stick to the road.
33:18
Shannon, there's a good side of Elon Musk. Well, listen, when they talk about all the would you go to space and would you do the Blue Origin, I'm like, no, that's all crazy. The minute I saw this car, that was like 100% signed me up. How do I get in line? It's probably going to be a jillion dollars. But everyone around here wants to commute. Mine's mostly in D.C. You guys have New York. If they would allow those things to start flying around, I am a definite yes. Despite all these people that have called Elon lucky and stupid and the dumb billionaire, He keeps making it happen.
33:49
Greg, what do you feel about the car?
33:52
I love how quickly people who hate capitalists and industrialists forget it when they get the product. Doesn't matter whether it's the phone or the shoes. We so easily lionize the artist, the painter, the actor, the singer, because it's easy to grasp. Oh, look, he's playing the piano. Isn't that nice? But manufacturing is an art. It's a deliberate creation of form, order, and experience from raw materials. It's incredible. Think about the assembly, the fabrication, the precision machining, the labor.
34:24
You're transforming stuff that we don't even understand that is so abstract into something. It's It's so complex, but it's every bit as artful. And this is what bugs me is that we don't under most of America does not understand what manufacturing is, what making something is. And I put myself in that and that group, too. I don't know how like think about how many people it took to make my poop cup. Like you probably don't even know. I don't know that everything, your makeup, these things are like everything on this table came from a group of people.
34:58
And we don't we forget that.
35:00
Do you forget that, Jesse?
35:02
No, I don't. I always remember Greg's poop cup.
35:06
You know, history is not going to look back and see a bunch of blue haired freaks firebombing his cars. They're going to see a pioneer who took human civilization and put it on another planet, who created flying cars, who created chips to put in your brain to cure blindness and speech. This man almost single handedly has left California, gone to Texas. a state that allows this type of free market innovation and created something that we used to watch in a cartoon on the Jetsons and think it would never happen.
35:41
But we're here. And what an exciting time to be alive. This man is a true American hero.
35:48
They always American, African-American hero. You know, the left always talks about, you know, being on the right side of history. Those of us who embraced Elon Musk and gave him a shot and gave him an opportunity and helped him reach the stars and break the mold.
36:05
Those are the people who are on the right side of history, not the people bitching about X community notes and the people saying, oh, he waved. That's a not. No, that's B.S. And that's lowbrow stuff. This man is going to go down bigger than Henry Ford. And this man is going to go down bigger than some of the. Bill Gates, if you think about it. And so we should do everything we can to make his life better so our lives and our country's life can be better.
36:35
You really want a free car.
36:37
I do. How are you making Elon Musk's life better, Emily?
36:44
by singing his praises in this moment and always. That was so awesome. Anyone who loves Back to the Future, anyone who loves Harrier Jets, like I was one of those people cheering at the screen. That was the most awesome thing I've ever seen. We saw in our lifetime and no one knew a thing about it, by the way. That is more leak proof than the Supreme Court. Mm-hmm. He is phenomenal. Someone I read that someone asked him once, what would you do if you lost everything within 24 hours? He said he would essentially be back to the drawing board, making his next vision happen.
37:14
He's not after it for the money. He's not after it for the accolades. He's after it because he's a visionary and a genius. And thank God for him. And the way that his companies are run are the opposite of a government under Democrat rule. It is about best idea immediately getting implemented and then immediately being discarded if it's not successful. The same brains and brilliance that we see at NASA that are bogged down by bureaucracy half the time under Democratic leadership, they're thrive. They can produce 10 times as much in a tenth of the time. It is incredible.
37:45
I agree with you. We should make sure that we do everything.
37:48
But the fact is, after this, we have Ilhan Omar that calls him just dumb and lucky. You're looking at a rocket launch, and it's like a goldfish ascribing it to luck. It's ridiculous. And final quick point, what I thought was so funny about this. So apparently the tires, like something about the tires were too big or whatever. They had to build around it. And it reminded me of when my car was overhauled, and the only tires that could fit the moment were drag tires. So I literally drove around the streets for a while with drag tires. It was fish sailing everywhere. Love it. There's a few of you that understand this. No one else.

From the stone circles that challenged the scientists.
38:50
Bad mail. We have time for one question. Were there any local urban legends that scared you as a kid, Emily?
38:57
Yes, the White Witch of Tilden. Do you remember that? Did you go hunting for her too like I did?
39:02
No, I didn't because I'm an adult. But go ahead. What was it?
39:06
The White Witch of Tilden. So everyone, so Tilden Park, you know.
39:09
Oh, Berkeley. Oh, yes, yes, yes. I remember that. That is definitely local. What about you? Did you believe in the urban legend about the floating Bill Clinton's boxers? They would just appear... No, nothing.
39:25
Over your bed. I don't hang with, you know, boxers of presidential boxers. I will say that like every kid in the 80s, it was all about Bloody Mary. And she was local to wherever you were, because if you looked in the mirror and you said her name enough times, she's going to show up and kill you and kill everyone. And we used to try it at the bowling alley when our parents were bowling on Friday night. Jessica, she never got us.
39:45
Not like this.
39:46
I mean, I was scared of stuff, but not like... She was in Tribeca, so it's the streets. I was scared of the hard streets of Tribeca.
39:55
Jesse? Yeah, you get AIDS from a toilet suit. AIDS from a toilet suit?
39:59
Or the scorpion at Olive Garden in the toilet that would eat your butt.
40:04
Wait, you thought that was a fear? They had an Olive Garden in Tribeca? One more thing up next.

It's time now for One More Thing, Greg.
40:58
Tonight's show, we got Joey Jones, Griff Jenkins, Jim Norton. Catch it. That's tonight. Let's do this. Greg's absolutely disgusting news. Let's go to San Antonio, the zoo. Check out this baby tree kangaroo. Isn't that adorable? The size of a single jelly bean. You know how they got there? They mated. And mating among these little kangaroos is very strange because the female kicks the male out immediately when it's done. Sounds like the reverse. Yeah.
41:28
Oh, that's disgusting. Anyway, there you go.
41:31
Jessie. Oh, that's so cute. Tonight, you know who's really cute? Chris Hansen. He's on at 8 p.m. Eastern. There he is. Have a seat.
41:38
What a cutie. Oh, everyone, this lucky. Oh, well, OK. I don't know. We could put it in. She survived four days in the wilderness and the snow is amazing. That's it for us. Have a great day.
